vanja posavec

         Vanja Posavec started to play guitar at the age of 10.  He started his primary and secondary music education in Croatia in Koprivnica and Varaždin in classes of Zlatko Kesteli and professors Antonio Rumenović and Moreno Vinceković. In 2010 he was admitted to Leopold Mozart Zentrum der Universität Augsburg in Germany, where he studies from 2011 till 2015 in the class of prof. Takeo Sato. He has also attended pedagogy classes of prof. Stefan Schmidt, one of the leading guitar pedagogues. After studying in Germany, he continues his studies in Netherlands for two years at Conservatorium Maastricht , where  he have earned  his Master of Music degree in class of renown guitarist and pedagogue, prof. Carlo Marchione.

            Vanja was competing on various national and international competitions both as soloist or in chamber music where he won varios prizes and awards. He was the winner of international guitar competition " Porečki Tirando " in 2011 in solo category.

            From 2010 till 2018 Vanja is active in organizing guitar seminars, concerts and festivals with association of classical guitarists in Croatia “Allegro Koprivnica”. In same period of time, he also began his first teaching steps while working as guitar assistant teacher in Summer guitar school. From 2013-2015 during his studies in Germany he travels on weekly basis and also works in Art music school in Koprivnica (Croatia). After finishing his studies in 2017, Vanja moved to southern part of Croatia (Rijeka) where he began new teaching and performing career.  Today he is teacher to more than 40 students in three different music schools as well as online teacher to students from Netherlands, Italy, Croatia and USA. Students in his class won prizes and awards on competitions, competing both on national and international level. He teaches both classical and popular music and is open to new musical genres.

            As concert artist, Vanja has performed across various countries in Europe. He performed solo recitals and was part of the program of different music/guitar festivals, or cultural events such as Koprivnica Classical Guitar Weekend, Guitar Festival Tremolo in Skopje (North Macedonia), International Guitar Festival Augsburg in Germany or Malinska music, in city of Malinska, Croatia.  He had performed  solo concerts in Sweden in Gothenburg, on events for Norwegian embassy in Zagreb and in 2020 he had honor to perform on opening event of “European capital of culture- Rijeka 2020”.  Most recently he performed on various events in  city of Bakar as part of their music festival program.

 

He attended masterclasses by Paolo Pergoraro, Istvan Römer, Zoran Dukić, Viktor Vidović, Johannes Monno, Anders Miolin ,Carlo Marchione, Montenegro Guitar Duo ( Goran Krivokapić and Danijel Cerović), Andrea de Vitis and many other renown guitarists and pedagogues.
